This Saturday from 11:00-3:00, Tim Gleason, the author of "From Black to Gold" will be here at Peaberry's in Canfield signing his book about the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will have books available for sale. So any of you Steelers fans that want to come have coffee with the author, now is your chance! Even fans of other teams that can appreciate their history (like me) may want to come talk to him. He is very knowledgeable on football, and you have to see his Autographed Steelers Helmet, it is very impressive!
If anybody wants me to sign their coffee mug, I'll be happy to do that too!

Although we've had some chilly mornings lately, I can't complain too much about the weather..
It has been keeping us busy with lots of Frozen Hot Chocolates, Smoothies and, of course, Frozen Cappuccinos! Still too cold for those drinks now, so I'm having a chocolate-hazelnut latte. What are you drinking this morning?
I've been thinking about this for a while.. Have you noticed that over the past few years it seems that every gas station, fast food joint and book store are trying to get into the specialty coffee business? I am probably more picky about my coffee than most people, but there is no way I want the same person that flips my burger or changes my oil to make my coffee. After training dozens (if not hundreds) to make espresso drinks over the past 17 years I have encountered some that have worked in those other places. Although some have very strict procedures on how to make a drink (or a burger), they have very little appreciation for the art of making a truly great latte. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Baristas at both of our locations for what they do, and thank all of our coffee drinkers for choosing quality over convenience.

Irish White Mocha

As the snow is starting to melt.. well, at least I can see the cars next door over the snowpiles. We are trying out a new drink, the Irish White Mocha. Its a blend of creamy White Chocolate & Irish Cream, Espresso and Steamed Milk all topped with Whipped Cream.
In other news, I will be spending the early part of the week here at the Canfield shop, where I get to be barista.

Chocolate Strawberries and Red Raspberry Pie are here

Well, the Chocolate Dipped Strawberries are here.. and they look good! We also are taking orders for our Red Raspberry Pie (seen to the right). If you don't want to fight the snow to come in call us at 330.702.9230 to place an order and you can pick it up after the roads have been cleared.
